Green Energy
The situation used to be if you wanted to put up a wind turbine for your home you either have to live on a remote farm in the plains, or grow your hair long and pledge allegiance to an aging group of touring musicians. Well times are a changing, and major improvements in technology and a general awareness of the benefits of making your own energy from clean and free wind, small wind power is going mainstream.
We at Ayroun Hills are trying to take advantage of the situation of our site to plant Vertical Axis Wind Turbines to fill backup electricity storages in case of power outages, as well as save you from 30% to 50% on your electricity bill. The wind at Ayroun in Lebanon is not rough, but smooth and constant. Heading in from the South West to the North East, it passes right across the site on the side of the mountain.
When referring to "small wind", we are speaking of Turbines which generate less than 100 kWh per building. Which means a standard vertical turbine may generate on average about kWh per apartment (or ~5.5 amps). These small home turbines operate close to silent at around 6 dBA. Potential buyers will be provided with the option to include Wind Turbines with their apartment or not, and will be given information on the cost, power generation, and warrantee of the product.
